Overview
Silent Lizard is an easy strike mission in adverse weather on the Marianas map. Players must destroy bombers on the ground at Saipan before they are resupplied. Secondary objectives are destruction of a cargo plane en route to Tinian and sinking a Kilo class submarines before it reaches Saipan.
The intent of the mission is to practice adverse weather flight while leveraging a restricted precision weapon capability. Players will have to strike with systems such as ground radar and iron bombs as well as Harpoon anti-ship missiles.
Objectives
The primary objective is the destruction of H-6 bombers at Saipan International. These bombers are waiting for a Kilo class submarine to resupply the island; without these supplies, the bombers cannot takeoff. Further, the defenses hastily put in place cannot be activated without these supplies.
The secondary objectives are the destruction of an An-26 transport aircraft en route to Tinian and a Kilo class submarine on the way to Saipan. Tinian has a lesser defense network compared to Saipan, as well as MiG-19s waiting for supplies. This is a more urgent requirement as the An-26 can reach the island in 40 minutes. The Kilo will take approximately four hours to reach Saipan, but alternates in submerged and surfaced states, making it a difficult target.
A tertiary objective is the sinking of supply ships, which have offloaded supplies for the Kilo submarine. This convoy is well-defended by a single Type 052B destroyer.
Considerations
There are numerous tankers and support aircraft available in the mission as well as AI support options. If AI support is requested, it will deploy 4xF/A-18C strikers escorted by 2xF-14As. In addition, 4xUH-1Hs will begin deploying cargo crates to Rota and establish that as a reserve base for operations. If all four crates are deployed at Rota, then a Patriot battery will become available and the support aircraft will move up their orbits.
Player helicopters can sling load cargo crates to Rota, capturing the airbase. If four crates are deployed at the base, then it will deploy a Patriot battery and the AI fuelers will move their orbits forward. It is also possible to ferry MANPADS teams throughout the region.

AI Flights
AI aircraft are primarily support aircraft, such as KC-130 and KC-135. Enemy aircraft are limited to MiG-19, MiG-21, and An-26. Some H-6s may takeoff if the Kilo submarine supplies Saipan.
If the AI assistance option is selected, additional F/A-18C, F-14A, and UH-1Hs will deploy.
Weather
Overcast with rain, 28C, heavy winds and turbulence.
